The Sculpture Studio was established in 2004 by Val and Martin Adamson.
For those interested in classes, we cater for all abilities, from complete beginners to keen sculptors who wish to develop their skills in the friendly atmosphere of our studio space.
Tutor Val Adamson holds a first class honours degree in Fine Art Sculpture. She has been teaching sculpture for the past 10 years from her own studio. She also lectures for the Open College of the Arts, Stroud College, Bournside School, Brewery Arts and the popular Gloucester Arts & Crafts Group Summer School. Val was previously based at Cheltenham Film Studios.
Her work is figurative clay based and is cast in a range of materials.
Martin Adamson has a wealth of experience in Sculpting and Modelmaking specializing in models for animation. He has produced a range of work for film and TV, including the popular Little Red Tractor series for the BBC. His work for corporate clients ranges from toy prototyping to display work.
His own work is strongly influenced by his love of surfing which has inspired the Wave Series.
